Everyone likes music, specially live music!
However they don’t all like the same type of music, so when a group of people came together in North Curry to plan a weekend of live music-making, the idea was to offer as varied a programme as possible. We are a group of volunteers who set up the first North Curry Music Festival in 2023, and as this went down very well, we were encouraged to plan a Second Festival in 2024…
This reflects our Mission Statement – “to offer a range of professional and non-professional musical events which brings all sections of the North Curry community together, supported by the Parish Church”.
The Festival is a non-profit making enterprise, so any profits are used to enable performances at future Festivals.
Through the hospitality of the Church, we are able to stage concerts in the fine building, nicknamed The Cathedral of the Moors, with its excellent acoustics and commanding location. Other events, suitable for different age groups and varying tastes, happen elsewhere in the village, underlining the active life of the whole community.
